Filters industrial ventilators
Filters for industrial fans can fulfil three functions: protection of the machine, removing contamination from air or gas and noise attenuation. In particular side channel blowers, vacuum pumps and compressors are at risk of damage if solid particles are sucked in. Metal mesh filters offer good protection of industrial fans, sufficient filtering and do not foul quickly.
Cartridge filters offer good filtration of the medium with paper removing 99% of particles up to 2μm and polyester removing 99% up to 5μm. For higher requirements, HEPA cartridge filters are available. In humid conditions, we always would advise the use of polyester filters. Polyester filters can be rinsed out, which means that their service life can be extended. Contamination increases the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet at filters in industrial fans. Maintaining a maximum pressure difference of 60 mbar can avoid damage to the filter cartridge. It should be kept in mind when designing the system filters cause pressure loss and contamination of the filter cartridge will increase a loss of pressure at the filter. When selecting the filter and filter element, always keep in mind the maximum flow rate.
Cartridge filters naturally provide some noise reduction. Some extra noise reduction is desirable, especially at compressor inlets and safety valve inlets in vacuum arrangements, where considerable noise can be created. Our noise reducing intake filter is specially designed to optimise sound attenuation.
In addition to our wide stock range, we also offer various pre-separators for moist or highly contaminated applications. High capacity filters for centrifugal fans are made to order.
