In fact, when you look at the turn-key module itself, the only maintenance is air
filter replacement. This turbo compressor has been optimized for reduced energy consumption on all
levels of its operation. The general engineering philosophy is by keeping it cool the efficiency
goes up and the reliability will improve dramatically. The integrated motor cooling ensures an at
least 30°C cooler motor core than all other technologies. Intercoolers provide optimum operating
conditions for each compressor stage. And therefore even the 4-stage 9.5 bar models are the most
efficient compressors on the market.

Turn-key turbo compressor modules

Dutair turn-key turbo compressors include control, inverter, protection,
filtering, measurement and communication. 4.0 bar models and above require external water cooling,
but this brings a huge advantage in process air outlet temperature. Compared to oil-free screw
compressors, outlet temperature will be 30° C lower. This will not only simplify air treatment
purification up to Class 0, but will severely save on energy and maintenance. Air treatment
equipment has cleaner air to begin with and requires far less desiccant dryer capacity. All due to
lower compressor air outlet temperature, lower moisture content and the complete absent of
lubricants in the Dutair turbo compressors.
Stable operation
Various control and safety features ensure easy operation
Dutair turbo compressor modules have very fast speed control in order to
cope with variating demand. However each turbo stage must be kept within their operating
range at all times. At first this will be managed by speed control. Fast changes in pressure
and flowrate are being handled by a series of solenoid valves. In this manner the module can
be kept in operation and processes will not be interrupted. The last line of defense against
turbo compressor surge is a fast acting Blow Off Valve.
HMI, PLC and communication
Siemens PLC's are typically used to control, monitor, and protect the
modules. The HMI allows the machine to be configured, operated, and read out locally. The
system screen and the performance screen, among others, provide a wealth of information at a
glance. For remote control with the SCADA system, communication can be established among
others via Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, or through incoming and outgoing contacts.
